Retirement is a maze of options. You can retire to leisure and recreation, to volunteer work or activism, to a life of travel, to activities of family and home. You can slip quietly from the scene or resist the vanishing point. I chose to retire to the messy mix of life, resisting being "gone" before I'm gone.
